Job Description
The Deputy Finance Director is a key leadership role for a collaborative, forward-thinking finance professional who wants to make an impact beyond the numbers. This position leads the day-to-day operations of the City's accounting and payroll functions while partnering closely with the Finance Director on the annual audit and financial report, budget, five-year capital improvement plan, and other strategic financial initiatives. Just as important as technical expertise is how this role leads. The Deputy Finance Director develops and supports a high-performing team, creates opportunities for staff to grow, and builds organizational resilience through cross-training, knowledge sharing, and strong, sustainable processes.
