Job Summary:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business performance reporting across Golden Link's global operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role serves as a key business partner, providing financial insights and strategic decision support through robust financial modeling, variance analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Financial Planning & Analysis:

o Prepare and deliver regular financial and business performance analyses for executive leadership. o Develop and maintain financial and sales performance reporting by business unit, customer, and project. o Analyze product-level profitability, gross margin performance, and key business drivers. o Lead end-to-end variance analysis across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods. o Identify, quantify, and clearly communicate the drivers behind material variances, including volume, price, mix, foreign exchange (FX), timing, and other business factors. o Develop and maintain standardized variance reporting frameworks and templates to ensure consistent financial analysis across the organization. •

Budgeting:

o Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders. o Coordinate the circulation of movie release schedules and collection of sales forecasts. o Analyze and apply cost of goods sold (COGS) rates. o Develop and manage overhead and operating expense budgets. •

Forecasting & Cash Flow:

o Manage the ongoing financial forecasting process, updating projections as business conditions evolve. o Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasting models. o Provide forward-looking financial commentary by identifying the impact of current performance on future forecasts, cash flow, and overall business outlook. o Identify emerging financial risks and opportunities through trend analysis and performance monitoring. •

Business Partnership & Financial Insights:

o Translate complex financial analyses and variances into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders. o Provide meaningful financial storytelling that explains not only what happened, but why it happened and what it means for the business going forward. o Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and business unit leaders to investigate root causes of financial performance and validate assumptions. o Challenge assumptions and promote financial accountability by helping business leaders understand performance against budget and forecast. o Serve as a trusted business partner, providing financial guidance and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across the organization. o Support strategic initiatives, business cases, capital investment analyses, and other ad hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or MBA strongly preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or similar). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, and reporting. Experience with reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and expense management systems is a plus. Background in private equity, investment management, consumer products, manufacturing, or another highly analytical finance environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to leverage automation, AI-enabled tools, and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and business decision support. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior leadership and non-finance stakeholders. Proven ability to influence decision-making through financial insights and effective cross-functional collaboration.
