3008184668-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Consolidated Precision Products seeks an Assistant Controller to support accounting operations for our advanced aerospace manufacturing business. This role oversees monthly close, general ledger, cost accounting, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and corporate policies. The Assistant Controller partners with operations to analyze manufacturing variances, inventory, and margins, supports budgeting and forecasting, drives process and internal control improvements, and prepares audit and tax support. You will collaborate across sites in a safety- and quality-focused culture with strong opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and general ledger accuracy Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules Oversee cost and inventory accounting, including standard costs and variance analysis Partner with plant operations to analyze margins, productivity, and cost drivers Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and periodic financial projections Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures Coordinate with external and internal auditors, providing required documentation Leverage ERP and Excel tools to improve financial reporting efficiency Monitor compliance with corporate accounting policies and reporting deadlines Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations Required Skills General ledger accounting Cost accounting Manufacturing variance analysis Inventory accounting Financial reporting (GAAP) Budgeting and forecasting Internal controls compliance ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle/Infor) Advanced Excel and financial modeling Audit preparation
