At KH Controls, Inc. we design and manufacture power supplies and lighting systems for the longwall mining industry. We are a leader in our industry, servicing more than 90% of the domestic market, and we are continuing to introduce new products and expand to new markets. Located in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, we are currently looking for a Controller. This position is a full-time role working onsite five days a week.

CONTROLLER

The Controller is a member of the senior management team. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the Company's financial, accounting and non-production purchasing functions. Direct the Company's monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting processes. Maintain 401K and tax compliance. Conduct risk assessment and mitigation, and coordinate annual property casualty and worker's comp insurance renewals. Monitor and analyze monthly sales and operating results to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and present and discuss the analysis with owner. Develop policies and procedures for accounting system, including inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and internal controls. Ensure consistency, timeliness and efficiency. Work with owner to establish and implement short and long-range corporate goals, and strategic business planning. Must interact well with all levels of the organization and general public as well as providing training as needed. Take ownership of responsibilities and perform all required tasks with attention to quality and accuracy. Maintains compliance with all Company and Quality policies and procedures. Must be able to work as needed to meet organizational goals. A bachelor's degree in accounting is required, CPA preferred. Five (5) years of manufacturing accounting experience and some supervisory accounting experience preferred. Candidate must possess strong analytical ability, problem solving and decision-making skills. Must demonstrate excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, and accounting system software. Familiarity with FASB, GAAP, and IFRS. This job description describes the general nature of the position.
