Exempt Are you an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for improving financial processes? Tongrun International is seeking a talented Assistant Controller to join our finance leadership team in Bonham, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who wants to make a meaningful impact, strengthen financial controls, improve accounting processes, and help support a growing organization. Working closely with the Controller, CFO, and operations teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while helping build a scalable, efficient accounting function. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with

U.S. GAAP.

Provide technical accounting guidance and resolve complex accounting matters. Strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and maintain accurate accounting documentation. Oversee manufacturing and cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, overhead absorption, and manufacturing variances. Review general ledger accounts, journal entries, accruals, reserves, and balance sheet reconciliations. Partner with operations, supply chain, and purchasing to improve financial and operational accuracy. Support physical inventory, cycle counts, external audits, financial statements, and management reporting. Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes. Help develop the accounting team through coaching, review, and accountability. Collaborate with senior leadership on special projects and financial initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Active CPA license. At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial close and reporting. Significant accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, manufacturing accounting, and cost accounting. Experience developing or improving internal controls and supporting external audits. Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and balance sheet skills. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze complex data. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or in a similar manufacturing accounting leadership role. Experience with ERP systems, accounting system improvements, and process implementation. Experience developing accounting policies, procedures, and close processes.
