Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Controller to join our non-profit organization in Houston. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the non-profit sector Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the organization's financial operations Develop and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with senior management Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvements Supervise accounting staff and provide training and guidance as needed Support audits and other regulatory reviews Participate in strategic financial planning and decision-making processes #IND2 #LI-KN1
