Ilocatum seeks a Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a growing professional services recruiting firm. In this role, you will oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, and cash flow, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will analyze results, develop KPIs, and advise leadership on profitability, pricing, and strategic planning. The Controller will manage audits, compliance, and accounting systems while driving process improvements in a remote-friendly, performance-driven environment focused on results and accountability. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning for the firm Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements Analyze financial performance, trends, and KPIs to support leadership decisions Oversee accounting systems, tools, and process improvements for efficiency Partner with leadership on pricing, profitability, and strategic financial planning Supervise and mentor accounting staff or external accounting partners Collaborate with recruiting leaders on financial reporting for client projects Required Skills Financial reporting General ledger accounting GAAP compliance Budgeting and forecasting Cash flow management Internal controls Audit coordination Financial analysis and KPIs Accounting systems/ERPExcel and financial modeling
