The role: We're looking for a hands-on Director of Finance to own the numbers across all of Ember's business lines and entities. You'll keep the books clean and close on time, and you'll turn that data into insight that helps leadership make better decisions. You'll own Ember's existing financial processes, reporting, and controls, keeping them running smoothly today while building them out to support our growth. What you'll do: Financial accounting Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities, including intercompany activity and consolidations Produce accurate GAAP financial statements and keep audit work on track with outside partners Prepare tax workpapers and work with external tax accountants on filings across all entities Manage owner trust accounting, pass-through operating expenses, and payouts to co-owners and homeowners Maintain strong internal controls and clean, well-documented processes Finance operations Serve as the go-to finance contact for co-owners and homeowners, answering questions and resolving issues around statements, payouts, billing, and other financial topics Manage key contracts, including customer agreements and insurance policies, tracking terms, renewals, and financial obligations Oversee payroll, benefits, and HR-related processes from a finance standpoint, including administration, compliance, and vendor relationships Managerial accounting and FP&A Build budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models for each business Track unit economics by home, resort, and business line, and flag what's working and what isn't Create clear dashboards and reports for leadership, the board, and investors Support fundraising, investor diligence, and new resort partnership deal analysis Systems and team Own NetSuite as the source of truth, including multi-entity setup, integrations, and ongoing improvements Lead and develop the finance and accounting team Partner with sales, operations, and leadership across the business to drive results What you bring: Required Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Several years of progressive experience in both financial and managerial accounting Experience with multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions and consolidations Hands-on NetSuite experience Experience owning the close and producing GAAP financial statements Strong modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills Clear communicator who can explain financial topics simply to customers and non-finance teammates Ability to work in person from our Lehi office Preferred CPA Experience in real estate, hospitality, or property management, including trust accounting Experience managing payroll and benefits administration Experience preparing tax workpapers and working with outside tax advisors Experience at a venture-backed or high-growth company Experience leading a small finance team

Pay:

$135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
