The position performs complex and professional administrative work assisting in planning, organizing, and directing the financial activities of the County; does related work as required. Requires a good knowledge of clerical methods, a good knowledge of accounting/billing, good computer literacy and good customer service abilities. Must know how to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs, preferred. Must have ability to perform work with accuracy and speed; ability to work with the public in a courteous, tactful and effective manner; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and 3 to 4 years of direct work experience in local or state government with complex accounting. Virginia Government Finance Officers' Association (VGFOA) Certification must be obtained within a year of assuming position.

Salary Range:
