Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), and/or
LCPC Special Knowledge/ Skills :
Art Therapy theory, technique, and practice Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
Experience :
Conducting individual, group, and family therapy Working with a child and adolescent population Responsibilities and duties include (but are not limited to): Provide art therapy services to individuals, groups, and families Plan and implement appropriate art therapy activities for elementary, junior high, and high school classes Crisis management Organize the Art Therapy Room to be motivational for student success Assess and meet the current levels of functioning needs of each child on caseload Develop and maintain relationships with parents/guardians of each student on caseload (introduce self, family therapy sessions, parent support group participation) Develop and maintain relationships with all collateral contact - caseworkers, probation officers, school districts, outside agencies Provide community referrals and coordinate services for students and their families Maintain records for each student on caseload including: IEP goals, ongoing evaluation of student progress, casenotes, crisis management documentation Maintain service log documentation of individual, group, and family therapy services provided to students Promptly and accurately complete appropriate documentation for group Complete weekly art therapy group plans for all groups Attend/plan team meetings to collaborate about student needs, complete BIP, and complete FBA Attend IEP meetings for students on caseload when needed Provide feedback of relevant events of art therapy to staff and present didactic trainings Regularly collaborate with student teams (teacher, primary/secondary therapist, building senior staff, BIS) Maintain availability to staff in need of consultation regarding cases Present cases during clinical needs presentation meeting Supervise Art Therapists in training when needed Maintain certifications and licenses as needed to meet the requirements of the position Participate in all in-service trainings to the school Attend home visits for students on your individual caseload and/or attend home visits for students on your auxiliary caseload as needed Other duties as requested by the
