The position of the AT is a full school year position Unit A Agreement, with days and hours agreed upon with the Athletic Director, including weekends and school vacation weeks.

Summary:

To provide and coordinate the prevention, care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries to all student-athletes who participate in the Milton Interscholastic Athletic Program. To work in partnership with the Director of Athletics to maintain, organize and administer the overall program of interscholastic athletics at Milton High School.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. Appropriate licensure and certification as Athletic Trainer. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities(Not Limited To): Serve as the liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes and parents. Provide care to injured student-athletes in accordance with National Athletic Trainers Association and ATC professional practice act guidelines. Maintain adequate and accurate medical quality records on all injuries and rehabilitation procedures. Provide coaches and Director of Athletics with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations. Coordinate with the Director of Athletics to provide athletic training services and coverage for the athletic training room, non-game day practices and all required athletic contests. Work with the Director of Athletics and Athletic Department to manage student-athlete registration, physicals, ImPACT Baseline Tests, and other related clearance paperwork. Work with the Director of Athletics and Athletic Department on day-to-day management, supervision and support of athletic contests and activities. Work with the Director of Athletics in maintaining all athletic training supplies and equipment, assist with re-orders when necessary. Consistent and on-time attendance is required for supervision and instruction of the student-athlete Perform other related duties as assigned.
