As a trusted professional, you will provide essential services and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and learning outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program Current state licensure as an Audiologist ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within school settings Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for students, including screenings and evaluations Interpret test results, develop recommendations, and deliver written reports Provide on-site management of hearing technology such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices Collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Educate students, staff, and parents on hearing loss prevention and accommodation strategies Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and government regulations This contract role offers the chance to create lasting positive change for students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
