Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a positive impact every day by supporting elementary students with diverse needs, including behavioral, cognitive, and health challenges. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work one-on-one and in small groups, serving as a valuable support for life skills and special education teachers. If you are a skilled paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) seeking hands-on experience, this role provides meaningful work without RBT licensure supervision or renewal assistance.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, Behavior Aide, or Paraprofessional in a school or clinical setting Familiarity with behavioral intervention strategies and working with students on the autism spectrum or with various exceptionalities Ability to adapt to a flexible caseload, generally supporting 2-3 students at once Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers and support staff Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering student growth
Responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance and support to K-5 students within life skills and special education classrooms Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of classroom teachers Monitor student progress, document observations, and help adjust strategies as needed Facilitate student participation in daily classroom routines and activities Support positive classroom environments and encourage students' social and academic development
