Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a real impact each day by supporting student success as a Registered Behavior Technician in a high school special education setting. This rewarding full-time contract opportunity is in the Norwich, Connecticut area, working closely with a dedicated team passionate about behavioral and academic growth. Earn between $22.43 and $30.23 per hour while providing meaningful, one-on-one assistance to help students thrive. In this role, you'll: Deliver individualized behavioral and educational support to a high school student in a specialized classroom Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition strategies as directed by the clinical supervisor Foster growth in communication, social, adaptive, academic, and independent-living skills for students Provide consistent behavioral support both in class and during group activities Maintain accurate documentation of behavioral and skill-acquisition data Adhere to established behavioral, classroom, and safety procedures Support students during transitions, classroom routines, and participation in school events We're looking for candidates who possess: A current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or eligibility and commitment to obtain and maintain this credential Successful completion of all required RBT training and competency assessments A high school diploma or equivalent credential Ability to pass background checks and meet all school clearance requirements Previous experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with special needs—background in special education is required or highly desired Strong familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, behavior intervention, and data collection best practices Step into a supportive environment Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM, where your expertise and compassion will empower students to reach their full potential.
