In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral support to children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Your energetic approach will help foster meaningful progress through direct behavioral therapy, data collection, and tailored teaching strategies. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans and ABA therapy protocols under supervision, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and client safety. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and skill development. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform care plans. Support clients in educational settings or home environments by applying teaching techniques aligned with their unique needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency and clarity in care delivery. Maintain confidentiality of medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times. Document session details, progress notes, and medical documentation thoroughly in compliance with professional standards. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially within applied behavioral analysis (ABA) or special education settings. Knowledge of behavior management techniques, data collection methods, and implementing ABA therapy protocols. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation practices. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving their personal goals through patient care and teaching strategies. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
