Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. In this engaging position, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, assist with daily living skills, and collect crucial data to track progress. Duties Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene routines, to support independence. Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments. Support clients in educational settings or home environments by applying teaching strategies aligned with their care plans. Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and educators to ensure consistency across all environments and optimize client outcomes. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and behavioral records. Participate in ongoing training on ethical standards, medical terminology, behavior management techniques, and implementing ABA therapy protocols. Skills Experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, especially autism spectrum disorder. Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients' daily routines effectively. Proficiency in data collection methods for behavioral health and medical records documentation. Excellent communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and ethical guidelines outlined in the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. Home-based behavioral experience or school experience supporting individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
