Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where your passion for helping others and dedication to behavioral health will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities, including autism. As an RBT, you will work closely with clients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized behavior plans rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in behavioral therapy, patient care, and special education while fostering positive growth and independence for those you serve. Duties Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and strategies under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect accurate data on client progress, behavior patterns, and response to interventions to inform ongoing treatment plans. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, supporting their independence. Support the execution of individualized care plans by documenting medical records, progress notes, and behavioral data in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage children in teaching activities that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through structured sessions. Maintain a safe and supportive environment by managing behavior management techniques and ensuring client safety at all times. Collaborate with families and team members to provide updates on progress and implement consistent strategies across settings. Qualifications Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or eligibility to obtain certification within the required timeframe. Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods. Ability to assist with ADLs and support patient care in a compassionate manner. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and families.
