Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a difference each day by supporting students as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Paraprofessional! This contract opportunity offers rewarding work within a school setting near Williamsburg, VA. Dedicated to helping students reach their full potential, you'll partner closely with teachers and other educational professionals to provide essential behavioral and learning support.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification required Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a school setting strongly preferred Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and collect data accurately Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with excellent communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively on a multidisciplinary team High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a range of behaviors and learning needs Collect and record data on student progress and behaviors Assist lead teachers with classroom activities, transitions, and routines Engage students in positive reinforcement and help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment Communicate regularly with staff and families to support student goals Help create and adapt instructional materials as needed This contract position is ideal for those interested in making a vital contribution to student success while gaining valuable experience in schools.
