Job Description

Sycamore Point Academy is growing our team, and we are looking for full-time and part-time RBT/BT team members to join us in Huntington, WV. This is a clinic-based position working directly with children with autism. Staff will also support learners during community outings, field trips, and other clinic activities. At SPA, our RBT/BT team members work one-on-one with learners under the supervision of BCBAs. The job includes helping learners build skills, increase independence, participate in daily routines, work through challenges, and make progress toward their individual goals. A typical day may include skill-building programs, play, transitions, social interaction, data collection, team communication, problem solving, and supporting learners through both the fun moments and the harder ones. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with kids, brings good energy into the room, and wants to be part of a small, close-knit team. This is a good fit for someone who is dependable, kind, playful, open to feedback, and willing to learn. This is not a sit-back-and-hide kind of job. We need someone who will show up, jump in, work as part of the team, and care about the kids in front of them.
Responsibilities include:
Working directly with learners in a clinic-based ABA setting Following behavior plans and skill-building programs created by BCBAs Collecting accurate data during sessions Supporting learners during play, routines, transitions, and activities Helping learners build communication, social, daily living, and independence skills Participating in community outings, field trips, and clinic events as needed Communicating with BCBAs and other team members Accepting feedback and using it during sessions Maintaining learner dignity, safety, and confidentiality Being an active part of the team throughout the day RBT certification and ABA experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. New team members can expect extensive onboarding and hands-on training before working independently, along with ongoing support from our BCBA team. Applicants must be able to complete required onboarding and training, pass required background checks, follow clinical guidance from supervising BCBAs, maintain confidentiality, and be active throughout the workday. This may include sitting, standing, walking, playing, and moving with learners as needed. We're building the kind of place we would want to work. Good support, good people, fun days, room to grow, and kids who make the work worth showing up for.
