1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT-R certification. Details Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with fluctuating days based on operational needs Call required 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks Candidates will float within the hospital based on census Uses Omnicell medication system, EPIC documentation system, and SBAR communication Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience required ARRT-R and BLS certifications required EPIC experience required Community, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II hospital experience preferred Travel experience preferred but will consider based on experience Skilled in procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, and vascular closure systems Experience scrubbing, circulating, and maintaining sterile fields for procedures Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and assist with laser-assisted procedures California license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable 1 professional reference required within 2 years Additional Information Perform a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures including embolization, angiography, stent placements, and biopsies Responsible for equipment setup and acting as room circulator or scrub technologist maintaining sterile fields Scrubs provided First-time travelers will be considered based on experience Previous permanent staff members are not eligible for consideration RTO must be submitted in advance and cannot be added after initial consideration Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
