Qualifications and Experience:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or CVOR Tech certification required Previous experience as a CVOR Tech in an acute hospital setting highly preferred Comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular operations Strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments Adherence to established safety and infection control procedures

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare the CVOR suite and sterile field for surgical procedures Assist the cardiovascular surgical team before, during, and after operations Ensure proper handling, care, and management of surgical instruments and supplies Anticipate surgeon's needs throughout procedures, facilitating seamless surgical flow Monitor inventory of CVOR instruments and restock supplies as needed Collaborate closely with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia professionals to promote optimal patient care Support postoperative cleaning and setup for subsequent cases Maintain meticulous attention to patient safety and infection prevention protocols
