Qualifications:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist Specialized experience working as a CVOR Tech in a hospital or surgical setting Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and cardiovascular instrumentation Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons during complex cardiovascular procedures Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and equipment specifically for CVOR procedures, ensuring compliance with sterile protocols Assist surgeons during cardiac surgeries, including preparing and passing surgical instruments and supplies Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout procedures Monitor and maintain safe patient environments, promptly addressing issues as they arise Adhere to all infection control procedures and facility standards Communicate efficiently with circulating nurses, anesthesia, and other team members for seamless procedural flow Support post-operative care by assisting with cleanup, specimen transport, and equipment sterility maintenance This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute skills to a dynamic cardiovascular surgical team, ensuring positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
