Monday-Friday 1PM-9PM for Full-Time and "As Needed" for Part-Time/PRN and some weekends or holidays as needed. Position Summary Covenant Children's Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and proactive Youth Care Coordinator to provide daily support to our House Parents and help ensure the smooth operation of our homes. The Youth Care Coordinator serves as an additional layer of support for the children and House Parents by assisting with transportation, appointments, school-related needs, daily tasks, activities, documentation, and other practical responsibilities . This position is designed to help relieve some of the day-to-day demands placed on House Parents so they can remain focused on providing a loving, stable, nurturing, and family-oriented home. The ideal candidate has a heart for children, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively within a Christ-centered, trauma-informed environment . Essential Duties and Responsibilities House Parent Support Provide daily assistance Monday-Friday to House Parents with tasks and responsibilities related to the care and supervision of children. Help coordinate and complete necessary daily tasks to ensure the home operates efficiently. Provide additional support during busy or challenging periods. Assist House Parents in maintaining a structured, organized, and nurturing home environment. Communicate regularly with House Parents and leadership regarding needs, concerns, and priorities. Step in to provide appropriate support and supervision when House Parents need assistance, in accordance with licensing requirements and organizational policies. Transportation and Appointments Transport children to and from: School Medical and dental appointments Counseling and therapy appointments Family visits and supervised activities, when authorized Extracurricular activities Community events Other approved appointments and activities Assist with scheduling and coordinating transportation needs. Ensure children arrive safely and on time for appointments and activities. Maintain required transportation documentation and mileage records, as applicable. Youth Support and Engagement Build positive, healthy, and appropriate relationships with children in care. Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating patience, respect, responsibility, and Christian values. Assist children with daily routines, homework, organization, and age-appropriate life skills. Encourage participation in recreational, educational, spiritual, and community activities. Provide encouragement and emotional support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Help children transition between activities, appointments, school, and home routines. Administrative and Coordination Support Assist with maintaining calendars, appointments, and activity schedules. Help coordinate communication between House Parents, case managers, schools, therapists, and other authorized members of the child's team. Assist with obtaining and organizing necessary supplies for the home. Support documentation requirements as assigned. Notify leadership of concerns, unmet needs, scheduling conflicts, or other issues affecting the children or home. Safety and Compliance Maintain compliance with all Covenant Children's Home policies and applicable licensing requirements. Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, or other safety concerns in accordance with applicable laws and organizational procedures. Complete all required training and maintain necessary certifications.

Participating in training related to:

Trauma-informed care De-escalation and crisis intervention Child abuse and neglect reporting Human trafficking awareness and recognition Confidentiality Behavior management Any additional training required by Covenant Children's Home or applicable licensing agencies Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all children and families served. Human Trafficking & Sexual Abuse Awareness Remain alert to potential indicators of human trafficking, exploitation, or commercial sexual exploitation of children. Complete all required human trafficking awareness and response training. Immediately communicate concerns through appropriate reporting channels in accordance with law and Covenant Children's Home policies. Support the implementation of safety plans and appropriate interventions when concerns arise. Additional Responsibilities The Youth Care Coordinator may also assist with: Grocery shopping and household errands Picking up prescriptions or approved supplies Preparing for appointments and activities Helping maintain an organized home environment Assisting with special events, birthdays, holidays, and celebrations Supporting respite and transition periods Helping prepare children for new placements or transitions Providing support during emergencies or unexpected staffing needs Other duties reasonably assigned to support the mission and daily operation of Covenant Children's Home Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Valid Florida driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely transport children. CPR and First Aid certification. Ability to pass all required background screenings and meet applicable eligibility requirements. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality. A compassionate, patient, flexible, and dependable personality. Willingness to work in a faith-based, Christ-centered environment. Preferred Experience working with children and youth in foster care, residential care, child welfare, education, behavioral health, or a related field. Associate's or bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, education, or a related field. Experience with trauma-informed care and behavior management. Work Schedule The Youth Care Coordinator is expected to provide daily support Monday-Friday with some occasional weekend or holidays, with a schedule established by leadership based on the needs of the children, House Parents, appointments, and program operations. The position may require flexibility, including: Early mornings Afternoons and evenings Occasional weekends Occasional holidays Emergency or unexpected support needs Physical Requirements The Youth Care Coordinator must be able to: Safely operate a motor vehicle. Assist children with daily activities as needed. Participate in recreational and community activities. Occasionally lift and carry reasonable household supplies.
