Dental Insurance and Financial Coordinator Fuller General Dentistry Ferndale, MI Job Details Full-time $18 - $24 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Accounts receivable management Dental receptionist Medical scheduling Dental terminology Patient collections management Full Job Description 1. Checking insurance eligibility and eligibility for specific procedures 2. Calculate patient copays. 3. Following proper office protocol for checking in all patients 4. Patient check in and out. Collect balances/copays from patients (in office and via statements) and we maintain open communication with the patient until fully collected. 5. Understands our practice goals and helps us strive to reach them 6. Submit dental claims and post payments of received claims 7. Unpaid claim (30 day) follow-up as well as past due accounts: Every 2 weeks, the 1st and 15th of every month. 8. Follow-up with outstanding patient balances and collection of these balances 9. Be familiar with patient's insurance coverage 10. Collaborate with clinical team regarding treatment plans and fees 11. Learn dental procedures offered and general descriptions 12. Ensure there is a copy of the patient's dental insurance in their file, updated annually-unless there are insurance changes within the year 13. Knowledge of dental terminology and coding 14. Great, upbeat communication and voice tone! 15. Reach out to patients when unable to verify their insurance 16. Following office protocols when updating necessary forms or discussing some treatment needs with patients
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
