Job Description

Summary of Position:
Responsible for interviews, hires, evaluates and disciplines resident services staff with Director of Nursing. Establishes time schedules for resident services staff on specific shifts. Assigns and delegates responsibilities to resident services staff for the specific residents based on the qualifications of the staff and needs of the residents. Ensures each resident receives services prescribed or requested in accordance with federal and state regulations and facility policies and procedures. Assures prompt, appropriate action in cases of injury, illness, fire or other emergencies. In addition, serves as Marketing Ambassador in the ongoing effort to increase and/or maintain 100% census at all times.
Qualifications:
Required
  • Currently licensed with the state as a health care provider
  • Professional in appearance and work habits
  • Ability to acquire knowledge and understanding of federal and state rules and regulations governing facility
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Ability to teach and/or make oral presentations to individuals and groups
  • Genuine interest in the needs of the aged
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Effective writing skills
  • Self motivated and well organized
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members and all levels of personnel
  • Demonstrate integrity, imagination and initiative, showing appropriate manner and conduct
  • Ability to use and demonstrate use of all resident services equipment
  • Manual dexterity in order to manipulate equipment
  • Ability to direct, delegate and follow up on programs and service care of the residents

  • Previous experience in geriatrics
  • Supervisory experience
  • Registered Nurse Pay discussed at interview, depends on experience.
