•Administrative Job Summary We are seeking an experienced HIM Analyst to support the processing, validation, and release of medical records across Atlantic Health facilities. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. RHIA or RHIT certification is required. Key Responsibilities Verify the authenticity and completeness of authorizations before processing requests. Process and fulfill requests for copies of medical records accurately and within required timeframes. Answer telephone calls and assist internal and external customers professionally. Retrieve, sort, and organize incoming mail and faxed documents for processing. Log releases of medical information in the ROI tracking system, including requestor information, address, date sent, and records released. Password-protect electronic medical records/media and certify records when required. Process in-person medical record requests, including identity verification and payment collection. Process incoming checks and verify medical records before final release. Track and order departmental office supplies. Escalate questionable or incomplete release-of-information requests to the HIM Supervisor. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems . RHIA or RHIT certification required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and exercise critical thinking. Ability to multitask and manage frequent task interruptions while maintaining a professional and helpful attitude. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls throughout the workday. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Schedule Monday
