Full Job Description General Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Techncial Supervisor to join our high-complexity laboratory team. This position involves performing molecular testing with a focus on DNA/RNA extraction. The ideal candidate will be skilled in laboratory best practices, demonstrate attention to detail, and ensure accurate and timely results that contribute to high-quality patient care.
Required Experience:
4+ years of experience in toxicology and molecular diagnostics Proficiency in
PCR DNA/RNA
extraction, handling, and storage Competence in pipette and multi-channel pipette handling Experience with reviewing test results and reporting Involvement in quality assurance/control within a high-complexity laboratory
Position Responsibilities:
Perform only tests authorized by the laboratory director Follow lab protocols for specimen handling, analysis, and result reporting Accurately test patient samples using toxicology and LC/MS instrumentation Maintain documentation of quality control, calibration, and maintenance Identify and resolve test system issues, documenting corrective actions Ensure specimen integrity, test accuracy, and inter-result consistency Participate in proficiency testing and treat samples identically to patient specimens Adhere to OSHA and Bloodborne Pathogen standards Assist with training and mentoring within the laboratory Communicate effectively with team members and clients Exhibit professional behavior and function as a collaborative team member
Education & Certifications:
Must meet CLIA qualifications for high-complexity testing Certification required: ASCP, AAB, AMT, or equivalent Associate or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
