Clinical Nurse Educator

Job Description

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of educational programs that support clinical excellence, professional development, and regulatory compliance across the hospital. This role promotes evidence-based practice, supports onboarding and competency validation, and partners with nursing leadership to enhance patient outcomes, staff engagement, and workforce development. The Clinical Nurse Educator serves as a clinical expert, mentor, and change agent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth aligned with organizational goals, accreditation standards, and quality/safety initiatives. Additionally, Translates clinical knowledge into effective learning experiences that promote knowledge acquisition, skill development, clinical competency, and application to practice.

Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning principles and applies evidence-based educational strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of staff and healthcare professionals. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, creating an inclusive learning environment that encourages participation, questions, critical thinking, and professional growth. Works effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing competing priorities while maintaining responsiveness to the educational needs of the organization. Adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, recognizing differences in experience, knowledge, learning preferences, and clinical roles. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple educational initiatives, deadlines, assignments, and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Requirements:
Master's degree in nursing, education, or related field preferred or willing to work toward upon hire. Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice Minimum of 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting Previous teaching, precepting, or education experience required Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC) preferred or willing to work toward upon hire. BLS certification required;
ACLS/PALS
as appropriate to clinical area The pay range for this position is $35.17 to $60.42 per hour, based on relevant education, qualifications, and experience
