Full Job Description Overview:
The Clinical Leader serves as a clinical expert for patient care and services on designated unit by providing clinical leadership support. Provides clinical and analytical support to the nursing leadership to plan and predict patient care needs based on quality benchmarking, patient acuity/care trends, staff clinical education needs and patient satisfaction. Provides leadership to ensure excellence in nursing research, education, and practice. The Clinical Leader provides nursing care to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the clinical expert and resource for nursing staff on the assigned unit. Provide clinical leadership to promote high-quality, safe, patient-centered care. Analyze quality benchmarks, patient acuity, care trends, and patient satisfaction data to identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with nursing leadership to anticipate patient care needs and support operational planning. Lead and support evidence-based practice, nursing research, and clinical education initiatives. Assess staff learning needs and coordinate educational strategies to enhance clinical competency. Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and care delivery. Promote continuous quality improvement through outcome measurement and performance initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required. Consideration may be given to candidates currently enrolled in an accredited MSN program, with successful completion required within an established timeframe. National nursing certification required within six months of hire. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the applicable specialty. Demonstrated ability to practice autonomously and maintain accountability for nursing practice and patient care outcomes. Demonstrated knowledge and application of patient care outcomes management. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support staff in the adoption of evidence-based nursing practice. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and quality of care. Licensure, Certification, and Registration Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Florida required. National nursing certification required within six months of hire.
