Quality Department Personnel Job Summary :

The Quality Improvement Supervisor is responsible for managing the supervision, coordination and project management of the organization's continuous quality improvement initiatives, compliance audits, and data analysis. Under the direction of the Director of Quality and Corporate Compliance, the position coordinates communications, quality initiatives, compliance activities, audits, accreditation reviews, performance improvement projects, corrective action plans, and regulatory requirements across the organization. This position supervises the Quality Improvement Specialists. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee quality improvement activities across all agency programs and service lines. Lead and facilitate quality improvement committees, performance improvement teams, workgroups, and organizational initiatives. Assist operational and administrative leadership in identifying opportunities to improve quality, outcomes, service delivery, compliance, and operational effectiveness. Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Annual Quality Improvement Plan. Monitor implementation and effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives. Directly supervise Quality Improvement Specialists and assigned departmental staff. Provide onboarding, mentoring, coaching, training, and professional development. Conduct supervision meetings, performance evaluations, and competency assessments. Assign, prioritize, and monitor departmental workloads, projects, audits, reviews, and reporting activities. Foster a culture of quality, compliance, accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, workplans, milestones, deliverables, and implementation schedules. Coordinate multiple concurrent quality, compliance, accreditation, audit, regulatory, and operational improvement projects. Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain annual audit schedules, readiness plans, and compliance monitoring calendars.

Coordinate preparation activities for:

Council on Accreditation (COA) State Licensing Reviews Medicaid Audits PIHP Reviews CMHSP Reviews Managed Care Organization Audits Commercial Insurance Audits Federal, State, County, and Local Regulatory Reviews Contract Monitoring Reviews Funding Source Audits and Reviews Other External Surveys and Monitoring Activities Coordinate collection, validation, organization, and submission of requested documentation. Develop and oversee implementation of corrective action plans. Monitor contractual quality requirements, performance measures, and reporting obligations. Coordinate organizational responses to focused reviews, utilization reviews, quality assurance activities, and performance improvement initiatives. Collaborate with programs and administrative departments to ensure compliance with payer and regulatory expectations. Coordinate collection, validation, and submission of quality, utilization, performance, outcome, and compliance data. Serve as the central coordinator between Quality and Corporate Compliance and all agency programs and administrative departments.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in psychology, Communications, Public Relations, Quality Assurance, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Master's Degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in quality management, regulatory compliance, and credentialing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Preferred. Proven experience in managing audits, inspections, regulatory reporting, and the credentialing process for county, state and insurance payors. Experience working with governmental entities, managed care organizations, PIHPs, CMHSPs, Medicaid programs, and/or commercial insurance organizations. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting systems, dashboard development, and data analysis. Valid Michigan driver's license and insurable driving record. Skills Required Expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and credentialing processes. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining focus on compliance, quality, and risk management. Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, fostering a high-performance and compliant environment. Competency in using word processing, database management (preferably Raiser's Edge), PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong researching skills and understanding of state and federal requirements. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and strategically with program directors and other key stakeholders. Positive attitude, high energy, creativity, and flexibility. Availability to work some weekends and evenings as needed. Working Conditions Work is performed primarily in an office, community, and hybrid work environment. Frequent use of computers, reporting systems, electronic records, and virtual meeting platforms. Occasional local and regional travel for audits, licensing reviews, accreditation surveys, stakeholder meetings, and training (utilizing personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement). May require flexibility in work hours during audits, site reviews, accreditation activities, and organizational projects.
