Job Description
Genesis HCC, part of Genesis HealthCare, seeks a Staff Development Coordinator, RN to lead clinical education and training in our skilled nursing and long-term care center. In this on-site role, you will design and deliver orientation, in-services, and competency-based programs for nurses and caregivers, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality, patient-centered care. You will assess learning needs, support quality and infection control initiatives, and serve as a clinical resource, helping build a collaborative, compassionate culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate staff development and clinical education programs for nursing and care teams. Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new clinical staff, ensuring required competencies are met. Assess staff learning needs and develop targeted in-service trainings and skills labs. Monitor and document clinical competencies, certifications, and regulatory training compliance. Support quality improvement, patient safety, and infection control initiatives through education. Collaborate with nursing leadership to address performance gaps through coaching and training. Ensure education content aligns with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements. Serve as a clinical resource and role model for evidence-based nursing practice. Maintain accurate training records and reports for audits and surveys. Promote a culture of continuous learning, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
