Location:
Ponca City, OK Hours:
Monday-Friday 0800-1830 with rotating weekends and holidays
Essential Functions:
Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment
Responsibilities:
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test result. Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens. Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures (see department SOPs). Review and release test results. Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines. Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and all maintenance performed. Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance. Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor. Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge/Education:
AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Technology.
ASCP MT/MLT
certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MT/MLT certification
Required Experience:
1-year Clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred. Minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience in highly complex testing for those with BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.

Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Keyboard skills are important.
