Job Description

Orthodontic Dental Assistant Job Summary This position is
PART-TIME
only. We are seeking an orthodontic assistant to help us in our Pell City location. We typically work 5 days per month there (3 Fridays and 2 Mondays). We may potentially offer 1 day per week in our Birmingham location as the need arises, but that cannot currently be guarenteed. This position would be ideal for someone looking for part-time orthodontic assisting work to keep their skills and experience sharp while offering a flexible schedule for their other life needs. Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Cloud9 or Greyfinch Schedule appointments and follow-up visits in coordination with the clinic's workflow Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene practices, and appliance maintenance Support administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient clinic operations Qualifications Prior experience in dental assisting is required; experience specifically in orthodontics is highly preferred Proven ability to deliver excellent patient care in a clinical setting Familiarity with EMR systems such as Cloud9 or Greyfinch is advantageous Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions Ability to work effectively in a part-time schedule of five days per month Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols Join our team to contribute to transforming smiles while working in a professional and friendly environment. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 16.0 per week
