This energetic position involves assisting with clinical procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and clinical confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing patient questions to create a comfortable experience. Maintain infection prevention standards through proper dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient management software, and coordinating with the dental reception team to optimize clinic flow. Requirements Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar patient management systems. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and oral surgery assistance. Strong understanding of infection control practices, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in operating dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about oral health while maintaining professionalism at all times. Certification in Dental Radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus.
