In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance and support to our pediatric patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience during their dental visits. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient management, and infection control will help foster a welcoming environment where young patients feel safe and cared for. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, X-rays, oral surgeries, and restorative treatments Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and dental X-ray machines while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient care by explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner, taking vital signs, and monitoring patient comfort throughout treatments Process dental instruments following sterilization procedures and ensure all equipment is functioning properly for safe clinical operations Support the dental team with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and greeting patients as a dental receptionist Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting, preferably with pediatrics or general dentistry environments Proficiency with EMR systems such as EZ2000 or Dentrix for managing medical documentation and records Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures related to pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental instruments, and chairside assisting tools Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as four-handed dentistry techniques and endodontic procedures efficiently and accurately Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pediatric patients and general healthcare protocols Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding pediatric dental care!
