Full Job Description Duties:

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
• Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
• Take and develop dental x-rays under the direction of the dentist
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and sterilizing instruments
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and educate them on proper dental care techniques
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
• Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
• Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar

Skills:

• Strong dental assisting skills, including chairside assistance during procedures
• Experience with medical imaging techniques, including digital radiography
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
• Familiarity with dental software systems for x-rays and record management
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
