Full Job Description Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available
- Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays under the direction of the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and sterilizing instruments
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and educate them on proper dental care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
Skills:
- Strong dental assisting skills, including chairside assistance during procedures
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, including digital radiography
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Familiarity with dental software systems for x-rays and record management
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
