This pivotal role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical assisting, ensuring exceptional patient care from check-in to treatment completion. You'll manage patient scheduling, medical documentation, and insurance processing while assisting with dental procedures, sterilization, and maintaining clinical protocols. Bilingual is needed and a Plus (Portuguese or Spanish) . Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software . Collect patient vital signs and medical histories, ensuring accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist dentists during procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. Operate dental x-ray equipment and 3D scanners following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to produce high-quality medical imaging. Process dental instruments through sterilization procedures, ensuring adherence to infection control standards and dental sterilization protocols. Manage patient flow efficiently by coordinating appointment times, updating medical records, and handling billing or coding as needed. Support clinical team members with chairside assisting during four-handed dentistry procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records and scheduling. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, infection prevention management, and healthcare infection control practices. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental sterilization tools confidently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Knowledge of medical documentation standards, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Certification or training in dental assisting or chairside assisting is preferred; experience with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus.
