Orthodontic Dental Assistant - Pensacola, FL A growing dental practice is seeking a skilled and dependable Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support orthodontists and clinical teams in providing high-quality patient care. The role is ideal for an organized, adaptable, and patient-focused dental professional who is comfortable assisting with orthodontic procedures and working in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during a variety of orthodontic procedures Prepare and set up treatment rooms and equipment Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment Assist with brackets, bands, wires, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances Take dental impressions, digital scans, radiographs, and orthodontic records as directed Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control procedures Provide patients with instructions regarding oral hygiene, braces, aligners, and appliance care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Coordinate and track orthodontic lab cases and appliances Support efficient patient flow and clinical operations Communicate effectively with patients, orthodontists, and other team members Maintain a positive and professional patient experience Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Dental assisting certification or license as required by applicable regulations Current X-ray/radiography certification as required Previous orthodontic dental assisting experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to adapt to different teams and workflows Patient-focused and team-oriented approach Benefits Competitive hourly compensation Incentive eligibility Opportunities for professional development Continuing education opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunities for career growth Training and development resources How to Apply Candidates interested in this opportunity are encouraged to send their resume to: Careers@desortstaffing.com Please complete the online application to be considered.
