Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This energetic position combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a caring and efficient dental practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and ensuring patient comfort Maintain accurate dental records, including documentation review and updates in EHR systems Handle dental billing and collections efficiently using knowledge of dental coding (ADA), insurance procedures, and health information management Manage front desk duties such as answering phones with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow Ensure clinic compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry with 10-key typing skills, and maintaining medical records with attention to detail Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Prior office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or Epic Familiarity with medical billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), insurance processing including Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance knowledge Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively on the phone and in person Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with experience managing medical records and documentation review Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining clinical confidentiality BLS/CPR required FL Radiology license preferred not required Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment!
Pay:
$24.91 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
