Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant who is relatively new to the field of dentistry but has at least two years of training. The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow with our practice. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Take and mount dental radiographs (X-rays) Provide patients with oral care instructions following surgery or other dental treatments Ensure patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatments Present Treatment Plans efficiently and patiently answering any questions the patient may have Manage infection control - prepare and maintain instruments, equipment, and materials Schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and coordinate billing and payment
Proficient Skills and Qualifications:
Completed at least two years of dental assisting / training Basic understanding of dental procedures and terminology Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Open Dental experience preferred but not required) Must possess or be willing to learn the following skills: Gingival retraction cord packing Temporary crown fabrication Digital Intraoral Scanning Treatment Plan Presentation 3D printing models Design/milling and processing permanent crowns Adjusting removable prostheses
