Job Description

Job Overview Privately owned dental office seeking a team player!! Pay based on experience. Will train the right person with a dynamic personality!! Duties Assist the dentist with a wide range of clinical procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Perform chairside assisting with precision, ensuring patient comfort and safety during all procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including dental x-ray and 3D scanner imaging, following strict infection prevention management protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Support administrative tasks such as patient management software updates, appointment scheduling, and greeting patients as a knowledgeable dental receptionist. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on expanded functions within a general or specialty dental practice. Hands-on experience with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other diagnostic tools. Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes. Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of dental instrument processing protocols to ensure safety and compliance. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and clinical excellence. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate patients about their treatments.
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.69 per hour
