Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly dental environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills while supporting the daily operations of a busy dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and patients to ensure smooth procedures, maintain clinical excellence, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. We are willing to train the right candidate. Duties Prepare and set up treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures such as general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental x-ray images ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Manage patient records and medical documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Open Dental, or similar platforms while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to promote optimal patient management. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and procedural steps to enhance their understanding and satisfaction. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handling inquiries with professionalism. Requirements Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude to foster trust and rapport with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment practicing dental assisting skills such as chairside assisting during complex procedures like oral surgery or endodontics. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
