This is a great opportunity for an experienced dental assistant who wants consistent part-time hours, a second dental position, or a schedule that complements a Monday-Thursday job. We are a patient-focused general dental practice serving adults and children. Our goal is to provide excellent dentistry in a friendly, organized environment where patients are treated like people, not numbers. You will work closely with the dentist throughout the day and play an important role in keeping clinical care efficient, organized, and comfortable for patients.
Schedule:
Fridays and Saturdays Hours:
Approximately 16 hours per week
Pay:
$28-32 per hour, depending on experience Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance during general dental procedures Assist with composite restorations, crowns and bridges, removable prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontal treatment, and simple extractions Practice efficient four-handed dentistry and anticipate the dentist's needs during treatment Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, anesthetic, materials, and equipment before procedures Take high-quality diagnostic dental radiographs within Minnesota licensure requirements Assist with digital intraoral scanning Record medical histories, vital signs, clinical information, and treatment details accurately Maintain accurate patient information in Curve Hero Provide clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions Clean, disinfect, and turn over treatment rooms efficiently Process, package, sterilize, and properly store dental instruments Maintain excellent OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection-control standards Keep treatment rooms stocked and organized Monitor clinical supplies and communicate when materials need to be reordered Assist with patient flow and help the front office when needed Qualifications Current Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant status preferred Current dental radiology credentials as required by Minnesota law Previous dental assisting experience preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, and general dentistry procedures Comfortable assisting with restorative dentistry, crown procedures, pediatric care, periodontal treatment, and extractions Experience with digital radiography and intraoral scanning is a plus Experience with Curve Hero or another dental practice-management system is helpful, but not required Strong understanding of sterilization, aseptic technique, and infection prevention Reliable, punctual, and organized Able to work independently and take initiative Strong communication skills with both patients and coworkers Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who does more than simply pass instruments.
