In this role, you will support dentists during clinical procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the smooth operation of daily dental practice activities. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a comfortable experience for every patient while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and infection control. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and more. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans accurately while adhering to dental x-ray safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies. Support patient management by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and providing pre- and post-treatment instructions. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Assist with administrative duties including patient scheduling, managing patient care documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team to optimize workflow. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic environment. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for managing medical records and patient information. Familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, sterilization tools, and other clinical devices. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control policies. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Excellent communication skills to support patient care and collaborate effectively with the dental team. Certification in Dental Assisting preferred; additional training in oral surgery is a plus.
