Job Description Dental Assistant

- Thursday and opportunity for more hours is possible, salary range $23-28/hr based on experience) needed to join our private family dental office.
Duties and Requirements 4 years dental assisting experience required Assist dentist during procedures (fillings, crowns, root canals, oral surgery) Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for patient care. Take and develop dental X-ray images while adhering to strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and assisting with general administrative tasks. Follow infection control and HIPAA protocols including dental sterilization procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe clinical environment.
