JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT
This Administrative Assistant I provides both clerical and operational support to the Dental Hygiene Clinic. The position manages inventory, patient scheduling, and collection of fees in the dental hygiene clinic. In addition, the position assists students with their rotations through the sterilization, radiology, and reception. Review of applications will begin Monday, September 28, 2026. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to Dental Hygiene Clinic Provide technical support to Dental Hygiene Clinic Manage scheduling, fee collection, orderliness and inventory of the Dental Hygiene clinic Additional duties as assigned
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support to Dental Hygiene Clinic Perform general office duties including maintaining communications, answering calls, returning calls, greeting patients, scheduling patients, and coordinating calendars; photocopy and assemble materials; open, sort, record, and distribute mail; and operate standard office machines such as calculators, photocopiers, and personal computer. Develop and maintain record keeping and filing systems in the Dental Clinic, following SSU Records Retention policy and procedures. This includes accurate filing of patient information. Provide technical support to Dental Hygiene Clinic Maintain vendor relationships and completes service agreements, contracts, and invoices, including for equipment repairs and maintenance. Assist in preparation of materials, reports, presentations, correspondence, and other documents to support the Dental Clinic. Proficient in use of MSOffice Suite and other software necessary for patient scheduling. Perform data entry needed by Dental Clinic to support clinic operations and services. Willing to learn and become proficient in dental electronic records software. Send and receive dental x-rays as needed for patient digital records. Manage scheduling, fee collection, orderliness and inventory of the Dental Hygiene clinic Manages collection of fees and making regular deposits. Maintains general orderliness of clinic. Manages clinic inventory, ordering clinic and office supplies for clinic in a timely fashion to ensure all clinic supplies are available to students, dentists, faculty, and patients. Additional duties as assigned Minimum Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
MINIMUM JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
CPR Certification Bloodborne pathogen training Hepatitis B vaccine or willingness to complete by time of hire Customer service, strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective interaction with diverse audiences Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) Ability to multitask, strong administrative skills, filing, record-keeping, and analytical skills Attention to detail, organized, able to work independently, collaborative, able to type efficiently while maintaining accuracy Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

AND EXPERIENCE
): Some college or post high school education 2-3 years' experience
