Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced assisting procedures, support clinical operations, and ensure exceptional patient care. Duties Assist dentists with a wide range of expanded functions procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and ensuring all tools are ready for use. Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to safety protocols and radiation safety standards. Manage patient records. Perform chairside assisting during dental procedures with precision and professionalism, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Experience with dental x-ray techniques, and 3D scanner technology for accurate diagnostics. Familiarity with dental equipment operation, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention policies. Ability to perform dental instrument processing efficiently while maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Knowledge of medical documentation practices including medical records management and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
