Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our vibrant dental team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference in patients' oral health.

Part-Time Responsibilities :
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry treatments with precision and confidence. Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, placing temporary restorations, and other delegated clinical tasks in accordance with state regulations and practice protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed to produce high-quality images for diagnosis. Manage patient flow efficiently by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, and processing dental instruments for reuse. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records using patient management software while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team to ensure four-handed dentistry practices are upheld for efficiency and comfort. Uphold infection control standards diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification or license as required by state law.
