Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with dental instruments and medical imaging tools. Take and develop dental x-rays, including dental x-ray procedures and 3D scans, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, recording vital signs, and verifying insurance information using patient management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-operative instructions, and preventive measures to promote ongoing dental health. Maintain clinical cleanliness by processing dental instruments, sterilizing equipment according to infection control standards, and managing dental sterilization procedures. Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, managing patient inquiries, and coordinating follow-up care with precision. Requirements Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras (such as 3D scanners), and other clinical tools efficiently. Experience with infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and dental sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards. Excellent communication skills to assist with patient management software use and collaborate effectively within the clinical team. Certification in radiography (dental x-ray) is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are a plus. Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
